In West Norfolk mental detector enthusiasts found objects/treasure dating back to Anglo-Saxon England. The objects that the mental detector enthusiasts found included an Anglo-Saxon brooch, a Medieval copper coin/medal and the third object that was amongst the treasure found was a mid Anglo-Saxon sword belt mount. It is believed that the Anglo-Saxon brooch dates from the 6th Century and could of well originated from Europe. It is believed that the mid Anglo-Saxon sword belt mount probably made late 8th century to early 9th century. Archaeology also believe that the Medieval copper coin/medal had sometime ago been converted into a brooch. It is said that a brooch made of silver, or a coin that has been converted into a brooch wouldn’t at all be usual for this time period in history. Below are the pictures of the recent discoveries. The first picture is the remains of an Anglo-Saxon brooch. The second picture is the mid Anglo-Saxon sword belt mount. Finally the third picture is the Medieval copper coin/medal converted into a brooch.
